Homemade Smoothie Lollies

I love ice creams by the pool, but lets face it, a daily poolside double-caramel magnum isn’t the healthiest. To combat my ice-cream addiction I decided to create my own healthy versions and they couldn’t be easier.

SMOOTHIE Lollies

These began life as my breakfast smoothie bowl, but in my hunger, I made far too much. I added extra milk to thin out the mixture, poured them into these lolly moulds and deliciousness was born.

Into the mixture;

  • 1/2 banana
  • large handful fresh strawberries, roughly chopped
  • small handful frozen raspberries
  • small handful frozen blueberries
  • 200ml milk (or dairy free alternative)

Blitz together – adding more milk if you want a thinner consistency.

I find that the best smoothies are often the ones where you throw your fave ingredients together and hope for the best. Or whatever you have lurking in your fridge/freezer drawers.

I doubled the mixture to create my smoothie bowl and six small lollies. If you’ve made too much mixture, freeze the leftovers in ice-cube trays or store in the fridge for tomorrow’s brekkie.

    What a great idea Charlie 😀 I make smoothies a lot, but I never thought about making a lollipop out of it 🙂
