Weekly Workouts: 22nd June - 5th July

MY WEEKLY WORKOUTS 22nd JUNE – 5th JULY 2020

MONDAY

Bootcamp in the park with colleagues, we did a 45 minute Insanity video which felt brutal! Our group of dietitians have been trying to work on our fitness together, and it makes it so much easier when you have someone that won’t let you bail!

TUESDAY

30 Minute Pride Ride with Denis Morton followed by a 5 Minute stretch.

WEDNESDAY

3 mile easy run through the woods with Emma. It is very much a trail in our local woods, complete with fallen trees to hop over, brambles to push to one side and tree roots to navigate.

Weekly Workouts: 22nd June - 5th July

THURSDAY

Rest Day – was going to walk with my friend Jo but it was boiling so we sat in the park eating FAB ice-creams!

FRIDAY

3 mile run/walk (4 mins run, 1 min walk) in the heat before work.

SATURDAY

45 minute Interval Tempo Run with Andy Speer & 30 Min Pride Ride with Sam Yo followed by a 5 min post-ride stretch.

SUNDAY

30 minute 2000’s ride with Hannah Corbin.

60 Minute Walk & Run with Matty Maggiacomo followed by a 20 minute Pride Run with Adrian Williams on the Peloton App.

Weekly Workouts: 22nd June - 5th July

MONDAY

Rest Day

TUESDAY

My first PT session with Chelsea, she took me through more of an assessment than a full on session. My goal is to help strengthen and tone, but primarily to prevent injury by becoming the strongest runner I can.  Quite honestly, I also want to lose a bit of weight. I know that seems like a taboo subject to talk about these days, and whilst I don’t care about the number of the scale, I do care about how my clothes fit and how I feel in my body!

WEDNESDAY

4 miles in Sonning with Emma, 4 mins run/1 min walk. Lovely to have a change of scenery for our morning miles.

THURSDAY

PT session at 6am in the garden.

3 miles at lunch in the pouring rain with two of my colleagues. We’ve decided that we’re going to do a 30 min run every week (maybe even twice per week). I only get a 30 minute lunch break but I’m able to come in 30 mins early or leave 30 mins late to make up the time to shower and eat.

FRIDAY

3.1 easy miles

woman running

SATURDAY

20 minutes on the treadmill before having a few friends over for an early-b’day BBQ. I had planned to do a longer run before friends arrived but the morning got away with me. I posted this IG all about how something is almost always better than nothing.

SUNDAY

3.5 easy miles with Emma (she told me she was surprised I wanted to run so early after my bday party – clearly I’ve learned my lesson from waking up with hangovers in the past!).

I wanted to round out the week with 22 miles, so I hopped on the treadmill for a 60 minute (6.5 mile) Peloton ‘fun run’ on Sunday evening to finish off my miles.

The rainbow on the railings looks amazing. What is it made from?
