These little snacks are easy to make and genuinely taste like Oatmeal raisin cookies! Perfect for a morning or afternoon snack with a cup of tea, or for a pre/post workout bite.
I made these delicious little things for our bike rides to Brighton and Paris. Filled with oats, peanut butter and dried fruit, the protein, slow release carbs and natural sugars will help get an immediate energy hit whilst also filling you up for a while!
Oatmeal Raisin Energy Balls
Makes 20 balls
150g oats
100g dates
125g peanut butter
1tsbp cinnamon
1tsp vanilla extract
3tsp honey (Manuka is great for it’s antibacterial properties!)
125g raisins or sultanas
1 In a food processor pulse the oats for 20 seconds before adding the dates, peanut butter, cinnamon, vanilla and honey. Pulse until it starts to come together, about a minute.
2. Add the raisins and pulse for another 15 seconds. Divide the mixture into 20 small balls (about the size of a walnut). You may need to really squeeze to get them together. Chill or freeze the balls until solid and enjoy!

Do you think prunes would work instead of dates? Or might they be too soft? Thanks!
Hi Mimi, I think you could use them however they would probably make the mixture a lot softer/stickier! If you do, might be best to freeze the balls!
I love this recipe! This would be great for day out hiking or cycling. I am definitely bookmarking this for the future. Thanks!
