I love the Friday favourites that some of my top-read bloggers post, but I don’t think I have enough faves to post on a weekly basis, so I’m taking the inspiration and posting monthly favourites.

So here’s the first of many monthly favourites;

Vlogging 

I posted my first ever vlog on Sunday, after I spent days, seriously days, editing it. I really loved the whole process, and have become a little obsessed with watching other people’s vlogs, especially Casey Niestat – his daily videos are incredible!

H&M Make Up 

I am trying to learn more about what to do with my make-up, and to update my current stash. I used to think that when it came to beauty products, the more expensive stuff was, the better. This can be the case but there’s plenty of awesome kit that does the job without breaking the bank. I ordered the H&M blusher in Cameo Pink and the eyeliner in Raw Umber after Lily Pebbles and ViviannadoesMakeup vlogged about them, and I am loving them.

I’ve got a wedding this weekend and have booked a free make up lesson with Bobbi Brown so that they can make me look pretty for the big day! Yay!

Cardiff 

I had the best weekend in Cardiff; speaking at the expo where I listened to some amazing speakers and met some lovely readers, watching the World Half marathon championships, shopping, eating and enjoying the city with Tom. We still haven’t made it out to the Brecon Beacons yet though, definitely on my list for my next trip.

Nike Flyknit LunarEpic 

There has been a LOT of hype over these online, I think they look sort of weird, but apparently they’re very cool – Tom told me that all the footballers have been wearing these for the last few months! I’ve worn them a few times, including to my first parkrun in AGES – full review coming this week!

Eddie the Eagle 

I went to see the film last night and really enjoyed it – Eddie the Eagle, Britian’s lone ski jumper in the Calgary 1988 Olympics is a story of the underdog pulling through, of trying your best and not giving up no matter what. I LOVE an inspirational film, and a motivational quote so really appreciated Pierre de Courbertin’s quote;

‘The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not winning, but taking part; the essential thing in life is not conquering but fighting well’
