Easy, Quick and Healthy Dessert: Berry Froyo

Jul 18, 2014 | Nutrition, Recipe | 0 comments

Tom and I love going for Froyo. I have the same toppings every time, and although I always start with fruit (and the best intentions) somehow multiple brownies, smarties and caramel sauce also make it into my bowl.

A few evenings ago I really, really fancied a froyo, however with the World Cup final on I knew Tom wouldn’t come with me. Instead, I whipped up something similar in our kitchen, using ingredients we had on hand to make a healthy pudding froyo to enjoy in front of the footie.

Healthy Berry Froyo

Serves 4

150g frozen blueberries
200g frozen raspberries
100g greek yogurt
50ml milk
chocolate chips, to garnish

Whiz together the blueberries, raspberries, yogurt and milk in a food processor, adding a little more yogurt or milk until you get the consistency that you like. Divide among four bowls then garnish with chocolate chips, nuts, or with a little maple syrup or chocolate sauce!

You could use any mixture of berries or toppings that you like. Save any extras in the freezer for a delicious breakfast froyo and top with granola!
